Over Fences Classes
The information below details the three different over fences classes offered by the Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA) for competing riders to be placed into in order to show over fences.
Class 4 - Limit Equitation over Fences
Eligible riders are those that have not won any more than six classes in any over fences class that required them to jump 3' or higher at a recognized competition and have had at least six months of continuous professional instruction over the course of the past year.
Class 6 - Intermediate Equitation over Fences
Eligible riders are those that have not won any more than six classes in any over fences class that required them to jump 3'6 or higher at a recognized competition and have had at least 6 months of continuous professional instruction over the course of the past year.
Class 8 - Open Equitation over Fences
Eligible riders are those that have won more than six classes in any over fences classes which required them to jump 3'6" or higher at recognized competitions.
